Christian … If you claim that “abortion is murder,” then
you are calling God a hypocrite!
Genesis 6: 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings
on earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from
the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the
animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for
I regret that I have made them.”
No rational person would suggest that there were no pregnant women on earth
when God sent the flood. Therefore, when God sent the flood, he drowned every
pregnant woman on earth and the “unborn baby” she carried.
Genesis 19:13 "We are going
to destroy this place. 14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who
were pledged to marry [or
were married to] his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this
place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!”
16 When he hesitated, the men [Angels] grasped his hand
and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out
of the city, for
the Lord was merciful to them.
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then
the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from
the Lord out of the heavens.
When God rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah, he killed
every man, woman, and child in both cities, including pregnant women.
San Francisco today is a “LGBTQ” sanctuary city. Do you seriously
believe every single man and woman in San Francisco is gay? Lot’s daughters
were either engaged to be married or were married. Married people at the time
tended to marry to have children. No rational person would suggest or believe
that there were no pregnant women in Sodom or Gomorrah when God rained down
burning sulfur on them. Therefore, God killed every “unborn baby” in
Sodom and Gomorrah when he rained down burning sulfur on the cities.
Exodus 29 At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from
the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner,
who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well. 30
Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night,
and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone
dead.
In this instance, God killed living babies. The firstborn of every Egyptian
household died. Common sense dictates that some of the firstborn were infants.
Some were toddlers. Some may have even been teenagers. Nevertheless, God killed
every firstborn in Egypt in one night.
God is not a hypocrite. God does not deny repeatedly killing
infants, toddlers, small children, and “unborn babies" in numerous
parts of the Bible. God did not express remorse for killing everyone in either
Sodom and Gomorrah, every firstborn in Egypt, or for killing everyone
on earth, including “unborn
babies” when
he sent the flood. God said that he regretted that he had made human beings.
On the other hand, God promised that "Never
again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life." (Genesis 9:15). He
even made rainbows to remind us of this promise.
There is nothing in the Bible that suggests that God said abortion
is murder. So, if Christians insist that the Bible says abortion is murder,
then Christians are calling God a hypocrite.
